Social Media and Education
It's time for our next
online discussion with a new topic, and that is social media and how we could
use it in education in purposeful and meaningful ways.
Social media plays an important role in our lives and it is a platform where people from all over the world can connect and interact with each other. Social media has changed so many things, including people's lifestyle. Thus, people today are intimately involved with social media at every stage and they use it abundantly in their everyday life. Consequently, everyone is almost an addict to social media in one or the other way. Social media websites and applications are designed to allow people to share content quickly, efficiently, and in real-time. The ability to share photos, opinions, events, etc. in real-time has transformed the way we live, but also the way we learn and work. For individuals, social media is used to keep in touch with friends and extended family. People also use various social media applications to network career opportunities, find people across the globe with similar interests, and share their thought, feelings, insight, and emotions. Everyone has at least one account in any one of the social media websites. As most people also have a smartphone with them, it becomes easier for them to use social networking sites whenever and wherever they need.
The concept of social media refers to online communication channels wherein users create and share content, and interact with each other in many different ways. Social media (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_media) are interactive computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation or sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks. There are different types of social media that exist today: social networking (Facebook, Linked-In, Google+), micro blogging (Twitter, Tumblr), photo sharing (Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest), video sharing (You Tube, Facebook-live, Vimeo), etc.
Social media can be very influential on society in both positive and negative ways. It gives people the opportunity to connect and stay in touch with people who live far away. It allows people to share fun, interesting and informative content, but also helps businesses to engage with customers. On the other hand, anybody can share anything, including information that may not be accurate. Also, when people spread inflammatory, unverified or false information, it can harm private individuals, or even worse, lead to cyberbullying. Therefore, social media can also have a harmful impact on society as a whole.
Nevertheless, social media plays an important role in every
student's life and it has completely changed the way we used to share
information. Thus, it's about time we give it the credit and find a way to
integrate it into the education system. Social media can be used for promoting
both teaching and learning. Research shows that the use of social media has
positive effects on learning outcomes. Social media can be used in education to
increase student engagement, to foster collaborative learning and to create the
measurably positive effects on the teaching and learning process.
Using social media in education can be beneficial to students in many different ways, e.g. learning and networking, fostering creative expression, experience of global exposure, employment opportunities, social media marketing, etc. Today's learning has gone beyond classroom walls, as students can learn online from e-learning websites and discuss their learning with other students by means of various social media channels (e.g. You Tube, Coursera, Udemy, etc.), or they can share study materials through social networking sites (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.). Thus, students connect with their peers and build networks or learning communities. Social media also helps students to express themselves in many ways, as they can post photos, articles, videos, audio clips, or even start blogging or become website builders themselves. In that way, social media becomes a useful platform for students to showcase their talents.
Furthermore, it has become easy to connect with anyone in the
world via social media, so it allows students to interact with people all over
the world and get to know about different cultures, traditions, language,
lifestyles, etc. Social media also helps students find more job opportunities
once they complete their studies, e.g. LinkedIn is a very useful platform where
students could apply for internships and jobs. Finally, social media marketing
helps students to promote themselves and their projects.
Social media in education can also be useful for teachers who
should also use it wisely to support their teaching and communication with
students and also to improve the learning process for their students. It is
crucial that today's teachers make an effort to adapt to the way students are
doing things and learning in the 21st century, as it is an important part of
the whole education process. It is easier and convinient both for students and
teachers to access information, provide information and communicate via social
media. They can create learning groups and communities on online platforms
which can strengthen their communication and improve the teacher-student bond.
Social media helps teachers to stay connected to their students outside their
regular classes and get an insight into what their students are learning.
Apart from numerous benefits, there also some disadvantages
of using social media in education, e.g. social media can be a distraction in
the classroom, it is possible to have cyberbullying among students, social
media is discouraging for the real, face-to-face communication, etc. If
students are allowed to use their smartphones in the classroom, mainly as
technological support to the learning process, they may secretly resort to
using tools like Facebook and Twitter which can divert their attention away
from what's happening in class and thus disrupt the learning process. Although
social media provides a way for students and teachers to connect, it can also
be used for malicious behavior such as cyberbullying which has become a very serious
issue nowadays. In addition to that, the tech-savvy generations of students
spend much of their life on social media and thus they may miss valuable
lessons in real-life social skills they would otherwise gain through
face-to-face communication with others.
Finally, we can say that, despite these obstacles, the presence
of social media in our everyday lives is growing rapidly, so instead of fighting
a losing battle, we should turn its usage in education into an opportunity for
the good. Social media is about collaborating, networking, sharing and
generating knowledge and content, and
all of these features are of great value in the context of education.

Social media has changed our entire lives. The way we communicated before, we don't do it so often. Now we communicate through social networks, making it easier and faster for us. The social network has changed our lives in every segment.
OdgovoriIzbrišiThe way through social networks has made it easier for us to communicate with other peoples, friends, and teachers. Social media has changed our society to spread more friends. But also in terms of less communication ''face to face''.
The most popular social media platforms are Facebook, Instagram, Twiter, YouTube, and more od course. My most used social network is Viber
Social media can be used effectively in education by creating an online platform for students only. This is where teachers and students would have only access and exchange information.
The advantages of social networks in education are:
Learning from home
The speed of obtaining information that is for students.
A large selection of information provided by the internet.
Hi Meliha. It's me again :)
IzbrišiWhat is the most important social network you use for studying and learning?
Hi Meliha, great thinking!
IzbrišiI want to know what do you think about being addicted to social media? Are you one of them? 😀
Hi my dear Naida. For me, I think the social networks don't have that much of studying and leaning worth but I think network by itself is very useful for learning. I don't have any specific network, when I'm learning, I use everything that I can find for my learning needs.
IzbrišiHello, I think that spending a lot of time on networks is very bad for us when we don't use it for smart stuff, learning or things like that. Spending to much time on network and don't use it for our needs is waste of time if we could do something else.
IzbrišiSocial media has a huge impact on our lives. I think the people who claim that it's not so just aren't aware of that yet. It's development, conditioned by technology has a great influence on the way we communicate with each other. Young people communicate much more online than face-to-face. If you want to follow social streams, you have to use social networks. This became an unwritten rule.
OdgovoriIzbrišiI use a lot of social networks myself, I use Instagram, Viber and Facebook the most. I think in the 21st century, they also make learning easier. We communicate and exchange materials more easily, faster and cheaper. The situation we are now with covid-19 proves that without the various forms of social platforms it would not be possible to communicate in emergencies. Aside from the good sides, I think one of the downsides of learning using social networks is the passivation of students. It is also difficult to focus your attention on learning, in addition to the so many interesting content we can find on social networks. This often distracts us from our primary goal-learning.
I find that social networks can be useful to both teachers and students, if both focus on using them properly when it comes to learning.
Hi Naida. What is the most interesting social network for you?
IzbrišiDear Naida, do you prefer to communicate live or through social networks?
IzbrišiHi Valentina. Hmmm, I would say Instagram. :)
IzbrišiHey Selma :) I prefer face-to-face communication. It's more direct and honest, it includes our mimics, body movement, etc.
IzbrišiHi, Naida! Do social networks have more positives or negatives?
IzbrišiSumeja Krehmić
Hi Naida, I have to say that I most definitely agree with your thinking. In my opinion social media as a whole does have a huge impact on everyone’s life, and if used properly it can be very useful.
IzbrišiAldina Zejnilović, RN IV
Hello Naida, do you have a Twitter account?
IzbrišiChildren and young people in the world devote a third, even half of their lives to electronic media. The technological multimedia environment is inevitable in today's life and has positive as well as negative impacts on experience and behavior. ...
OdgovoriIzbrišiThe media on our reality can act either to be destroyed or to be enriched. It all depends on how much we know them and how much we strive for, we can passively receive our message, create a relationship of interaction. Media messages affect our thinking and activities. We are all influenced by commercials, news, movies, music and other forms of media.
If we do not develop media literacy, we leave room for fears, weight, prejudice, hatred, as well as various feelings of belonging and belonging. Because it is our gaze that often imprisons others in their best affiliations, and it is our gaze that can also liberate them.
Hi Fuada !:) I agree with your opinion. The media are the ones who give us information as a whole on a daily basis. Also, the media can develop misperceptions about themselves and other, develop different forms of violence in people, etc.. Media should create a positive environment in which people will be able to to live without violence, hatred, etc.. Goodbye ! Medina Kunić RN 4
IzbrišiHi Fuada :)
IzbrišiWhat is the most important social network you use for studying and learning?
Hello Fuki :)
IzbrišiYou are totally right. And we really have to work on it so that it all could be better and to avoid bad consequences that could be made.
Can you tell me what would be one of the ways to react, so that we can suppress bad influences?
Hi Fuada, I 100% agree with your arguments. Technology/ social media, like everything else in life, has its positive and negative sides. I do believe that there are more positive sides to it, and if used properly that could be shown. And as you said “The technological multimedia is inevitable in today’s life...”.
IzbrišiAldina Zejnilović RN IV
Social media has changed our lives a lot. Social media has greatly changed the ways we communicate. It comes down to using different platforms when communicating and sharing opinions and knowledge .The most common platforms I use are Viber, Facebook and Gmail, the Internet. The media are quick to get the information we need , modern approaches to teaching, the development of critical thinking , etc.. The disadvantages of social media are the following:identity theft can occur for someone to represent you on your behalf, use hate and other inappropriate words when communicating, and posting inaccurate information in the world at large. Medina Kunić RN 4
OdgovoriIzbrišiHi Medina. What is the most important social network for studying?
IzbrišiHi Valentina :) The most important social network for studying besides the internet is certainly Viber and Facebook. Goodbye ! Medina Kunić RN 4
IzbrišiDear Medina, for which communication you often choose, through social networks or face to face?
IzbrišiSocial media changed the way we communicate. Social media has became a crucial part in our lives. The benefits of social media are: you can reach large number of people (connectivity), you have a direct connection with your audience, you can easier get access to information that you need. The disadvantages of social media are: hacking, addiction, reputation because social media can easily ruin someone's reputation just by creating a false story and spreading across the social media. Social media have a negative impact on the health. Since exercise is the key to lose weight, most of the people get lazy because of the excessive use of social networking sites. Which in result brings disorder in the routine life. Valentina Šutalo, RNIV
OdgovoriIzbrišiHi Valentina! I absolutely agree with you. Social media are so addictive for everyone. I catch myself scrolling down through posts of my friend for hours just because I am bored. We should entertain ourself in different way.
IzbrišiDear Valentina, do you think that social networks will distance us and make us less sensitive to other people?
IzbrišiHi Valentina, I agree with you.
IzbrišiHi my dear Selma :), social media affects people differently, depending on existing conditions and personality traits. Spending more time on social media could displace face-to-face interaction, and can also make people feel excluded. Balance is the key word.
IzbrišiBest regards,
Valentina Šutalo RNIV
Social media has changed our lives but I think in a good way. Of course, there are much disadventages but we will focus on good sides. There are a lot of ways to learn something new on the internet or on social media as well. You can learn how to draw or some other skill by watching tutorials on YouTube. They demonstrate whole process step by step. We can also study with our friends by videocall on Viber or Whatsup when we don't have much time to meet in public to study together. Social media can be bad for studying when children don't know to limit their time spent on Instagram, YouTube or somewhere else. Or when they think that they don't need an education because they can find everything online on the internet or social media. Because of that we should teach our students how to use social media wisely and how to use it for their self progress. I think one thing that social media and Internet can't replace is face-to-face conversation with someone that you love (teach children to be social in real life), even when there are some ways to see other person on the screen of your phone.
OdgovoriIzbrišiThe conclusion is that we as future teachers should teach our students how properly use Internet and social media, and to improve ourselves to be a best version of ourselves so we could be the best version of the teacher.
Hi Lejla. I'm glad that you are so positive and focused on a good side of social media. But I would like to know what are the platforms that you use the most, and can you recommend us some platform that is pretty much secure for students?
IzbrišiHi lejla, I see you said that Social media has disadventages. Would you name some of them?
IzbrišiHi Ajla. I mostly use social media for entertainment (Instagram, YouTube etc.) but some of them I use for study, and I can recommend Google classroom as platform which is secure for students.
IzbrišiHi Amna. There are so many of them, but I think that the addiction they cause is the bigest disadventage.
IzbrišiThere’s no denying that, ever since social networks and social media made way into our lives, everything is different. Beginning with the way we socialize, interact, plan for parties or even how often we go out. Starting from elementary school up until university graduation, social media has the role to empower parents, students and teachers to use new ways of sharing information and build a community. It’s a general consensus that they’re useful when it comes to sharing information or organizing the school tasks. And at the same time, the social networking is blamed for the lack of attention in students during classes. Without any doubt, social media and mobile devices, in general, can be a distraction. Instead of focusing on things that they should learn, students can spend hours in mindless browsing of their news feeds. Online harassment is another potential problem when we talk about social media. It's the anonymity that lets cyber bullies harass other students by ridiculing their appearance, revealing secrets, sharing fake photos and texts and more. Finally, social media can be used for cheating during exams. But there is no doubt that it can be useful in a many ways. Anyway, it has benefits but also shortcomings. One of benefits is that we can communicate with people all around the world. And definitely we should teach our students how to properly use social media. There is one interesting quote:
OdgovoriIzbriši"People who smile while they are alone used to be called insane, until we invented smartphones and social media." 😁
Until next topic, stay healthy!
I totally agree with you statement. Social networks have occupied us in the way they shouldn't and most of the people don't use it properly as they should.
IzbrišiIt is hard to imagine life before social media. Social media allow us to transfer information faster, but on the other hand, they diminished our social life and our live communication.
OdgovoriIzbrišiI use most often Viber and Facebook. Some time ago I wanted to delete my Facebook account because it takes a lot of my time, but I gave up because it can be very useful sometimes, for example for communication with my college colleagues. So, I can conclude, as for me, that social media platforms are very useful nowadays in communication with my colleagues and professors. This is a quick way of communication, especially when we need to have online classes like these days during quarantine.
Selma Jordamović, RN IV
Hi Selma :)
IzbrišiI absolutely agree with you. Are you familiar with any social media platform made for teachers?
Sure, I use a platform called Classroom.
IzbrišiDear Selma, I agree with you. What do you think about quality of education if we reduce social networks and media during self-isolation?
Izbriši
IzbrišiDear Lejla, I think online learning globally has many imperfections, but we have to practice it. This is a very broad topic.
Selma Jordamović, RN IV
We can't acctually globilize anything so, it's everything individual. For some people, social media is like something that is the most important on the whole world and to the others, social media is just a way of making progress in whatever section that could that progress be made. Communication has never been easier and it is positive thing nowadays for people who knows and can to use it in the best way. World wouldn't be the same without this way of connecting. All that has to be done is to direct ways of using it.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSo, I think that we are that generation who will work with kids that will grow up with all of that social media and who knows how much it will develop in next 10 years for eg., but we can make a change with their parents and work for that that we, as human beings use social media and not that social media uses us.
Our lives are changed, of course, but if we just think for a second and imagine life without technology - we know it would be kind of immpossible, even though our parents did can live that way.
The most important is that we use social media for what is good, useful and for improvement of ourselves and our society and to transfer that all to next generations, to give our best to make it to be better and to be used for the good.
Hi Almedina,
IzbrišiI agree with you, today it is unthinkable to live without media. They follow us constantly.
Hi Almedina, I have a question for you. Are you a social media addict?
IzbrišiHello Amina.
IzbrišiNo, I use them and I don't let them to use me! :) Thank you for feedback.
Wow, this is what I want ro hear, I don't let them to use me🤗🤗🤗I'ma very happy ti hear that.

OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial media plays a vital role in transforming people’s life style. Social media includes social networking sites and blogs where people can easily connect with each other. These sites have become a day to day routine for the people. I think that the use of social media in education provides students with the ability to get more useful information, to connect with learning groups and other educational systems that make education convenient. Professors can use social media as a way of teaching by creating groups and accounts for students where the information can be accessed. We can integrate social media by sharing important news, updates about upcoming events.. Samira Bešić RN IV
OdgovoriIzbrišiHi Samira!
IzbrišiIn your opinion, do students know, how to use social media in your education the right way?
Dear Samira,
IzbrišiI totally agree with your opinion, we can integrate social media by sharing important news.
Hi Alma. In my opinion I think they know. We live in a digital age where toddlers are exposed to technology and everything it has to offer. We would be surprised what all the kids know.
IzbrišiHi, Samira. What do you think about limiting the time that students spent on internett or social networks? Could that step affect pshycological development?
Hi Lejla. When it comes to younger children, I think parents play a big role. They need to talk to the children, spend more time together, play board games... Unfortunately, we live in a time when parents have no time for children, no communication between them and then the children close into their imaginary world. It is pointless to forbid a child to use the internet when parents spend a lot of time on social networks. We have to ask ourselves are we a good example to criticize someone.
IzbrišiSocial media is changing our lives day by day. More and more people are communicating online and not live. Habits and attitudes change. Kids are no longer playing in parks with other kids, but with social media. They play virtual games, and by that I mean our children are rejuvenated. They stop using all their creativity and resourcefulness. They have become like sponges that absorb a lot of information and don't know how to use it.
OdgovoriIzbrišiHi Džemila, I definitely agree with you. Do you have any suggestions to change this?
IzbrišiHi Amina. I'm glad you agree with me. First and foremost, it is the parents themselves who are responsible. They should first direct their children to use the Internet as little as possible. Then teachers. Like they say everything comes from family.
IzbrišiI complietely agree with you. But what are benefits of social media?
IzbrišiHi Ena,
IzbrišiThe benefits are easier communication, exchange of information, availability of information. However, we need to know how and what to look for because there is a lot of bad and incorrect information.
Well the initial concept of social media was, as the word “social“ signifies, to connect people and make the flow of information better and faster. It certainly has changed the whole life. Nowadays we can’t imagine our lives without social media. It has entered in every sphere of our lives and we became obsessed as a society in general. Unfortunately, nowadays we depend on social networks and we would not be able to do our job without e-mail, WhatsApp, Facebook, Viber or similar platforms that provide quick interaction and fast flow of information. Our daily obligations, jobs and everyday life depend on different circumstances like cellphones, laptops, tablets, internet connection and we simply can’t do our job or live without it anymore. That is a fact.
OdgovoriIzbrišiHowever, what can we do is to make sure that modern technology is used in a right way. As in everything in life there are positive and negative sides. We have to make sure we use advantages and avoid disadvantages and negative sides of social media. As educators we also have responsibility to educate children how to use social media in a right way and avoid all of the negative sides of it. Also we have obligation to ourselves to find a right way to use it in an education process.
If we use it in a right way, it can help a lot in a process of education. There are many opportunities that we can get use of. The biggest advantage of social media is better communication. A student can connect with anyone at any point in time via Kids Messenger or WhatsApp. They can use such platforms via their smartphone, tablet or computer, and learners can exchange questions, make phone calls or video calls. If a student is stuck with their homework, they can always communicate with their friends or tutors. They don’t need to wait and meet the teacher physically. Social media promote learning by offering support with sharing documents. In addition, various websites and social media networks are providing plenty of information that can be helpful to students. Via social media news feeds, students can find relevant websites they want to follow so as to be kept in the loop. Another great advantage of social media in education is distance learning opportunities. There are many disadvantaged students who are not able to acquire formal education by attending regular classes in an educational institution. With the help of various online tools along with social media, modern educators are able to attract students through distance learning programs.
At the end, we can conclude that nowadays, with all of these opportunities that social media provides, we have great access to information and we can improve the quality of our teaching a lot. It is all about us. Are we going to get maximum of it and use it in a right way or not.
Hi Emir, How do we show children the flaws of the media? Obviously, the use of media has a number of positives as well as negative ones.
IzbrišiHello everyone! :)
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial media has gained credibility over the years as a trusted source of information and platform where organisations can interact with audiences.
We are seeing education institutions adapting these developments into their systems and relying on group resources and mechanisms to improve the student life. The use of social media in education provides students with the ability to get more useful information, to connect with learning groups and other educational systems that make education convenient.
Social network tools afford students and institutions with multiple opportunities to improve learning methods. Through these networks, you can incorporate social media plugins that enable sharing and interaction. Students can benefit from online tutorials and resources that are shared through social networks.
Social media is also a medium where students can establish beneficial connections for their careers. As an educational institution, it is crucial to be active in many social platforms possible, this helps create better student training strategies and shapes student culture.
IzbrišiHi Alma, how much do you use social media to learn and do they help you?
Hi Alma! What social networks do you use to learn? Thank you for answer! Dženeta, PO4
IzbrišiHi, Amina and Dzen! :) I'm using social media for 12 years and from the beginning I took just the best from them. I'm member of many Facebook groups that are giving me advices for creative workshops in kindergarten. I'm following many Instagram cooking MasterChefs from who I have learned to cook many meals. I also follow people who travels the world and through them I see many destinations, cultures etc. It can be very useful and interesting when we use it right.
IzbrišiAre there ways that social media in education can benefit learners and help to fill in the gaps in learning if used in a safe and appropriate way?
OdgovoriIzbrišiThe most famous link today between Social media and education is distance learning opportunities. There are many disadvantaged students who are not able to acquire formal education by attending regular classes in an educational institution. Soon, this will be an inseparable part of our modern education system. Bye!
Berina Prozo, RN4
Hi Berina. What do you think how did the parents of children who can’t afford all necessary equipmnet, deal with decision about starting online teaching because of pandemic?
IzbrišiSamira asked a good question, a question that has been raised for days. I don't think any of the authorities are doing anything about it. So we have serious problem here. :(
IzbrišiHi everyone!!
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial media has changed many of our lives and our lives. She also changed the way she communicated. There are many communication platforms today, and one of the most used is Facebook, Viber, Whatsapp and instagram. I personally use and prefer Viber and Whatsapp. Media in education can be used effectively because they help us to reach fast information, modern learning, and develop critical thinking. The disadvantages of social media are: hacking, addiction, reputation because social media can easily ruin someone's reputation just by creating a false story and spreading across the social media. Social media have a negative impact on the health.

Hello,, dear Amina
IzbrišiHow do you mean that social media has a negative impact on the health?
Hi Amina :)
IzbrišiWhat do you think how can social media be used effectively in education?
Hello Amina :)
IzbrišiI read you prefer Viber and Whats App, nice. I prefer Instagram. What do you think about Instagram? Instagram has more good or bad sides?
Hamida Tatarević, PO 4
Hi Amina :)
IzbrišiI see you prefer social networks like WhatsApp and Viber. I also use those social networking sites. I also agree with you that using social networks can have negative impact on health. That can happen if we spend too much time using one of the social networks.
Dženeta Kovač :)
Hi everyone! It's very interesting topic. I use social network on a daily basis, but also, I think social media losing their original purpose. Definitely, social media has changed our society. My most used social network is Viber. It allows me to communicate with friends but also to share information. But if you read my comments on earlier posts, you can conclude that I prefer to communicate face to face. :)
OdgovoriIzbrišiWhen we talk about social media in education, we refer to the exchange of information. Notifications, reminders, changes can be uploaded through social networks, and this is one of its benefits. As teachers, social networks can help us to communicate with parents of children, but shouldn't become the only way of communication with them.
Amina Ćosić, PO4
Hi Amina. I'm glad we share the view that face-to-face communication is much more important than chatting. Byeeee! :)
IzbrišiHi Amina, I agree with your opinion! I have no question for you, I like how you said that. I hope we are going to see each other soon!

OdgovoriIzbrišiWe live in a world where the media has a significant impact on our lives. The media can be viewed as a means of information, education and entertainment. They are also an indispensable part of life in the 21st century. In education, they are important for the development of children and the formation of attitudes, and in education they serve as a great source of information and offer many opportunities for teaching.
OdgovoriIzbrišiDear Elma!
IzbrišiIn your opinion, do students know, how to use social media in your education the right way?
Hello Elma! What are the disadvantages of social media?
OdgovoriIzbrišiWe have already somehow opened up a similar topic previously when talking about digitization and concluded that mass media are all around us and that their use is inevitable.
OdgovoriIzbrišiUsing social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and so on provides free access to online communication and information. What if schools made use of them? Can they contribute to improving learning and teaching?
Today we are talking about online teaching and online learning. Due to the state of our country, Europe and the world related to Koronavirus, we are forced to use online platforms for the purpose of further education. How much this has effect and what is the difference between the live word of the teacher and the “tones played on yt, viber, whatssapp and something like that” time will tell us. We are just in the process of online education that has uninvitedly entered our education system and pointed out a number of shortcomings that need to be corrected as soon as possible.
I wish you all a pleasant rest of the day.
Nerma Omeragić, RN4
HI nerma, Could you live without social networks today?
IzbrišiWe all hope students will not be in lost for the needed knowledge. We students of Faculty of educational science hope that our contribution will help it.
IzbrišiCovid 19, go away!! 😣
Hi Amna, I really can't wait the end of college to delete all my accounts, and everything what we need for communication today, because of situation. :)
IzbrišiI dont know are we aware of how much social media has changed the way the world works. We can connect whith everyone from anywhere. Peaple share content with others, and everybody can see achievments and others stuff they made. Like most of us I use FB, Viber and Instagram. I think Twiiter is great if we want to hear something clever. We can share content, literature and other things through social media. Also we can discuss with other students about homeworks, case studies..
OdgovoriIzbrišiAmna Bajric POIV
Dear Amna,
IzbrišiI agree with your opinion, but what are the disadvantages of social media?
Hello Amna. I agree with you, for students, social media can be very useful and our interaction is something we couldn't have without social media.
IzbrišiAmna, do you have a Twitter account?
Izbriši
OdgovoriIzbrišiThe question that arises is: how is social online networking useful to students? The most famous link today between Social media and education is distance learning opportunities. Today we are forced to use online platforms for the purpose of further education and passing the exam. Soon it will be increasingly represented in our lives, but it will never be able to replace face-to-face contact.
Alma Nizić RN 4
I totally agree with you. Even it can't replace teachning face to face , we should be happy because we have oportunity to distribute our knowledge to students during this pandemy of covid-19.
IzbrišiHi Alma. I agree with you. What do you think about doing an online exam? What are positive and negative sides of it?
IzbrišiHello Alma, what is the most important social network you use for studying and learning?
IzbrišiEverybody is sure aware that has social media changed our lives. A lot of things have become easier - to communicate, to learn, to find information ... I remember when I was 10 years old how everything worked. I have a cousin in Austria. We were sending a letter to each other. Yes, we were doing that. It is very interesting and dear period to me. I was impatiently waiting letter every day. Maybe today's messages aren't so significant. For sure that letter always evokes more feelings. The popularity of social medias isn't always the same. One time the most popular was Facebook and fiber. Maybe it is Instagram now or WhatsApp. I use WhatsApp the most. We can use social media for sharing information, creating internet groups, finding interesting stuff. Every person know something that the other doesn't know. It's clear that social media has own pros and cons. It can be misused which take some consequences. Always is necessaries be careful.
OdgovoriIzbrišiI am kind of a person who lots of time spends on social networks, most of my time. I chat with friends, watch intresting videos, pictures, looking for some new ideas... Also, all lovely moments of my life, all positive taughts i find on the web i share on my pages. Because of this reasons i think social networks have completly changed our lives. I think there is no person who doesnt use any social network ( i use lots of them 🤣).
OdgovoriIzbrišiSo on social networks we can meet all kinds of people, read many posts, see some videos etc. We need to neglect negative and bad posts, and ocupate our thoughts with positve things.
Like i metioned already i use many social networks, mostly Instagram and WhatsApp.
Aside from fun, social networks can be very useful in education. We can find lots of contents which can help us in studying ( all kind of advices, support) but also teaching ( creative ideas, expirience of another teachers). Teachers can find lots of contents to make their class more intresting to students- we have to realize that students grow up in social networks era and like us most of their time are on them. On the other side we need to watch out that social networks do not replace traditional way of teaching- nothing can change teachers living word.
In the end i want to say that on side pf bad things that social networks have, its hard to imagine life without them today.
And one quote:
"We don't have a choice on whether we do social media, the question is how well we do it."
Erik Qualman
"I am kind of a person who lots of time spends on social networks, most of my time."
IzbrišiYou need to change that urgently! :D
Ensar Halvadžija, RN IV
Hahah I know that. I will do my best to chage that 🙈
IzbrišiSocial networks are changing our lives day by day. We are becoming more and more dependent on these social networks every day, and therefore we give them a lot of our time.
OdgovoriIzbrišiTheir advantage is that they give us a lot of different content, but on the other hand, the disadvantage is that we can never be sure that the content is accurate and confidential.
We adults always keep that in mind, so we repeatedly check out what we read on social media. But what about the students.
I'm not so sure that they know that estimates and checks, the accuracy of some information.
Also, in the sea of content offered by various platforms, children usually know how to stray where it is not appropriate for them.
So, when using the media in education, but also in the daily life of a child, we need to be very careful.
In my spare time, I use Facebook the most for news and information from the country and the world. And for correspondence with friends there is Viber and Whatsapp.
ŠEJLA NAHIĆ, RN IV
You are right Šejla, there are so many false informations on social media and people actually believe in those, unfortunately.
IzbrišiSocial media is one of the most popular way of communication beetween people for all over the world. We can see that we are ,in some way, so addicted to social media. Social media also has adeventages and disadventages. I think that the one of the most important adventage is that you can use it very easily. The best feature is that you can transfer information very quickly. Often, disadventage is that someone can take you personal information, or that social media can affect you time. Also, you can lose a feeling of your time, and not realise that you have spent hours and hours using that social media. I would love to if there is some kind of alarm that can warn us during that time on social networks, I also think that alarm would make a life so much easier. Always, people are under some kind of preasure, or anger. They can got very scary because of those infromation on social networks. On the other side, social networks should be the place where we can share love, respect and happy thoughts. The development of social networks made a huge progress in sharing information and making an interaction beetween user and comunity. In time that we are in, social media is the key of the education nowdays. Studying power would have lost if there is not internet or social networks. But in everything we sholud have self control.
OdgovoriIzbrišiLejla, RN 4
I agree with everything you said Lejla, that alarm would be very helpful for us.
IzbrišiI ask myself everyday what my life would be these days without Internet and technology. We are staying in our houses, and social networks are only ways to keep in touch with our friends. I miss my friends from college, we didn't see each others a long time ago, but thanks God, we have our social networks. Social media help us a lot. We can send pictures of very important moments to our friends, we can talk with them for hours and we can do homework together too.
OdgovoriIzbrišiWe are connected with our teachers too. We have group-chats with them: they are sending a homework to us, we can even pass the exams that way. I think social media make our education easier, especially now in period od selfisolation.
Dženeta Javoraš, PO4
Could you imagine your life without Instagram and Facebook?
IzbrišiI think the advantage of social media is that we can often talk to people who live far from us, in other countries and the like. We can meet people, learn other languages. However, I think we still need to be careful when it comes to social media. Primarily because there is a lot of abuse from others through social media. I think it depends on us how we spend our time on social media. We can spend quality time on social media by learning something new, watching at educational programs, etc.
OdgovoriIzbrišiHadžiabdić Amera, RN IV
I agree, there are a lot of abuse of social media and users have to be very careful what they publish, because it sometimes makes some troubles in the future.
IzbrišiI think that, as much as internet has positive sides, as much it has bad ones.
OdgovoriIzbrišiIt's helping students all over the world to find informations they need, good websites, pictures, but at the same time, it's making everybody opsessed. I spend the most time on Instagram. Social media are very usefull to all of us when we have somebody who is not living close to us, so it's much easier to see them with video calls.
The most iritating thing for me is when we are all together out, we go out for a coffee and everybody are just staring on their phones, so, I ask them why have we came here?
I think that kids have to be restricted in using smartphones and internet, because they became bigger addicts than adults. Online learning I consider very unusefull and non-sense. It's difficult and I think that communication one-by-one is much better and more usefull.
Ajla Balta, PO4
Hi Ajla. I agree with you. I find it iritating too - everyone staring at their phones, yet we went out to drink coffee and chill. It is really one kind of sickness nowadays. And the worse is yet to come, when those kids grow up...
IzbrišiAdna Zolota
Ajla, wise thoughts 👍
IzbrišiAjla, can you imagine your life without social media?
IzbrišiAjla I agree with you that we definitely spend too much time on our social networks.
IzbrišiAida Rogo PO4
As a person who has been working in television for many years, I can say that the impact of media (television, portals) and social networks is huge on a entire life, including education. I am absolutely convinced that there is much more negative than positive content in the media and on social networks. Seemingly, it acts as a benefit, and indeed it happens often times. However, in essence, it does not contribute to a true quality of life, even to education, in terms of gaining true knowledge, rather than a tremendous amount of information. Maybe if we knew how to use it appropriately (which is difficult), then we would really see a huge benefit from both the media and social networks. Without "living" contact there is no life, not even knowledge.
OdgovoriIzbrišiEnsar Halvadžija, RN IV
I read a study recently that was done about Social Media and our attitudes. Just by clicking on your Facebook or Instagram app on your phone, you are entering into a networking world guaranteed to affect you. Whether you see a funny post from a friend that makes you smile or a sad post from an old co-worker that makes you feel bad – your attitude can be highly affected by just a few clicks on your computer or your phone. We are living in this day and age where it seems like everything is on the internet. That is why it's important we use internet for educational purposes too. The use of social media in education provides students with the ability to get more useful information, to connect with learning groups and other educational systems that make education convenient. Social network tools afford students and institutions with multiple opportunities to improve learning methods. I think this situation, when we are quarantined will help us all realise how online education can be both useful, and fun.
OdgovoriIzbrišiPerhaps, social media is the most useful things which happens in close past, but they also could be a trap which you can not escape so easily. For good purpose, for global learning and collecting knowledge from all parts of the world, there is no better source. But in the same time, social media could make lot of troubles if they abuse for tracking people, or underage delinquitions. Special it mean explicit pictures underage persons. However, using social media could be very productive in human frame. In future, the admins have to work on costumer service and adjust contents for all users, matures and underage also.
OdgovoriIzbrišiHi Džemila,
IzbrišiI agree with you. How often do you use social media?
Autor je uklonio komentar.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial media are double-edged sword. As there are many good sides, there are also many bad sides of different social networks. I use many of them, such as facebook, instagram, snapchat and tiktok, and I can say they are absolutely wasting my time! But I can’t help myself, unfortunately. There are many good sides, such as communicating with family or friends who live in other countries, it’s also very helpful for my college and for communicating with my colleagues because we help each other if there is something we didn’t understand or if we need something, we exchange our opinions and many other things. But, the bad side of social media is that people don’t live in a reality anymore. They see fancy cars, fancy clothes, girls see other pretty and handsome girls, but in fact all of that is a big lie. And that’s where people start to be unsatisfied with their own lives, with the way they look, etc. So we should definetly use all of the advantages of social networks but we shouldn’t let them to control our lives. ✌️
OdgovoriIzbrišiThat's right. However, it is very difficult to control the use of media and social networks.
IzbrišiEnsar Halvadžija, RN IV
Social media plays a huge role in a lot of our lives. Some of us couldn't imagine life without it. Social media has changed us as a society. For the most part, it’s been a positive thing. Now, we can connect with people across the world at the click of a button. We can stay in touch with family and friends, keep on top of the latest news. I am not a social media person. Not everyone is hooked on social media these days, believe it or not. It’s a great way to connect with people you don’t get the chance to see every day, but it doesn’t have to be your lifeline. Social media makes it almost too easy to keep in touch with family and friends. Except, by “keeping touch” we actually mean reading their Facebook statuses and liking their photos. It’s a one-sided interaction. When people go long periods of time without posting anything, we lose touch with them immediately. That’s enough to put a dent in anyone’s confidence. I had a bad experience in job interview, they asked me for my Facebook account so they could add me and probably stalk me, so I lied to them that I don’t have a Facebook account and they looked at me like l’m not normal. For the record, I never mix work and pleasure. I didn't get the job. I don't like Facebook and Instagram. We’re sharing too much of our personal data online, even when we think we’re playing it safe. Social media is fostering a big rise in real-world stalking.
OdgovoriIzbrišiI use Viber and What's up, basically both of them provide the same functions such as instant messaging, sharing pictures and videos and also audio and video calls for some countries. We also create Viber learning groups and that is good, we are informed about our study obligations, deadlines, we also share useful professional literature and sometimes funny things too, just for a good laugh :)
There are many different ways to use social media for education. Facebook can be the perfect social media platform to incorporate into the classroom. You can create facebook page with your students and comunicating with them.
OdgovoriIzbrišiInstructors can also create Facebook Groups for each of their classes, both public or private, and stream Facebook Live lectures, post discussion questions, assign homework and make class announcements.
Sumeja Krehmić
Hi Sumeja,
IzbrišiCan you imagine life today without the social network you wrote about during this time?
Social media has a big impact on our lives and it has changed a lot. We have the benefits of social media, such as easier access to information, as well as connecting with a large number of people, learning new things, but also a major downside is social media addiction. Nowadays, children are no longer playing in parks with other children, but now this is through social media, where they play virtual games, and it is necessary for children to be directed to use the Internet as little as possible.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial media has changed our entire lives. The way we communicated before, we don't do it so often. Now we communicate through social networks, making it easier and faster for us. The social network has changed our lives in every segment. Today's life would be almost impossible without existing technology. The lifestyle has changed. Of course everything has its advantages and disadvantages. Easy communication, communication, online teaching, sources of information are just some of the positives. The downside is that we lose our true sense of friendships, not just "instagram friends" are enough.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial medias changes our lives very much. It is a platform where people from all over the world can connect and interact with each other. Before that we used letters and SMS texts. We couldn't hear anyone from other continent or we were waiting for months to get answer. Social media changes us a lot. We communicate with persons we know and meet people that we don't know and make friendships by sending a request. Social media platforms I used a lot are facebook, instagram and youtube. Social media has very huge effect in education because we have all the answers and can search or see something that helps us in learning.
OdgovoriIzbrišiTatjana Drmač, PO4
Bravo Tatjana, you presented this theme very clearly! 👍
IzbrišiHi everyone… I’m happy that we have the opportunity that we can exchange topics about our everyday life situations.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSince we go social media it’s like everything became more accessible to everyone. Information is way faster recived from one place to another and we can keep in touch with family that is far away. Thanks to social media we feel like we are a part of every corner in the world. Some of the most popular social medias today are Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Viber, WhatsApp etc. My personal favorite app is Instagram that is where I communicate white friends and share photos, thoughts, posts etc. Communication today thanks to social media is way easier where back in the day a simple news source would have to travel days to get to people unlike now.
Internet in general social medias in education can be very helpful with them we can talk easier with students. We can share with them some helpful videos, exchange photos and thoughts and send tasks for work. All these ways of using social medias show the good side of them while in a negative way we can sort that as in some important times the social medias might not work and there might be breaks in the communication but at the end I don’t see many bad sides.

Social media is a platform for people to discuss their issues and opinions.Social media are computer tools that allows people to share or exchange information’s, ideas, images, videos and even more with each other through a particular network.Today, both social media and technology have become an indispensable part of our lives. Advantage of social media in education is distance learning opportunities. Each social media platform offers many different ways to be used in the classroom, from sharing announcements to holding live lectures, and so much more
OdgovoriIzbrišiMarijana Pustivuk PO 4
Hi Marijana :)
IzbrišiCan you tell me how has social media changed our lives?
Hi my friend Marijana, which is your favourite social media?
IzbrišiDifferent types of social media are normally dedicated to forums, social networking, social bookmarking, social curation, and wikis are among the.
OdgovoriIzbrišiMany individuals will use social media to stay in touch and interact with friends and family, while others use it to communicate with different communities. Many businesses will use social media as a way to market and promote their products. Websites include social components, such as comment fields for users. Other tools have been created to aid in tracking the number of mentions and brand perception.
Social media has become larger and more accessible thanks to access to mobile applications, with some examples of social media including Twitter, Facebook. Social media change our lives, but in my case not to much if I can say like this. I use them, but I have my limit. I use Viber to talk with parents, family and frineds. WhatsApp I use just for my one frined who lives in Medina, Saudi Arabia and that is. Instagram sometimes. I don't like them, I use them but they are not important for me. They are useful and can hel a lot I agree with that, we can talk with people in other countries for free. It can be useful and not. It depends how we use it.😊

It is clearly seen that social media and education don’t necessarily go hand in hand. So far experts remind us that there are clear “do’s and don’ts” for integrating social media in the classroom. Social technologies are here to stay, and with that in mind it is important to help students learn how to use social media properly as well as guide them in how to think deliberately about their use and consider the outcomes of proper and improper use of social media. This goal can be appropriately reached when teachers have received appropriate training on the use of social media. Turning social media into an educational tool can be used to further a student’s education as well as enrich it.

OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial media has changed our lives and our habits. I think that same people lives for „social media“. They want to show that they are happy, but the questions is „Are they really happy or .. ?“ And that is the bad side I think. But I will focus on good sides. You can learn a lot of new information, you can communicate with your friends and family at any moment, you can connect with everyone, if you want learn something new, you have a lot tutorials on YouTube. We must learn how to used social media in a right way. Honestly, I used a lot of social media platforms: Instagram, Viber, Whats App, Facebook, Snapchat... and my most used social network is Instagram and Facebook ( Messenger). When we using social media, we need to be careful.
Hamida Tatarević, PO4
Hi Hamida. You said that well, but I wonder, what you think is the most negative thing about Social Media?
IzbrišiDženita Čolo PO4
Hello!
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial networks have definitely changed today's way of life. We became infected with them, somehow unnoticed and they became our way of life. Today, people spend a lot of time on social networks, even too much. Everybody wants to tell everyone what is going on in their lives. 'Unless you put it on social media, it as if it didn't happen'. Sad but true. The most popular networks today are Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twiter, Viber...
Personally, I use Instagram the most because it is most interesting to me and I like it the most, like most of my friends - and very often I communicate through that network.
Also, social networks can be used in education by creating diferent groups through which we can communicate, share various content, and also offer live streaming, which helps us a lot in the current situation with COVID19.
Social networks have many advantages as well as disadvantages. The advantages are listed above, and disadvantages are that there are many people with fake profiles, a lot of inaccurate information, people are less and less socialized in the real world, and spending too much time on social media is not good for health. This is why consuming the Internet with the measure is paramount.
Aida Rogo, PO4
Dear Aida, I like your post. And this - 'Unless you put it on social media, it as if it didn't happen'. 😂😂 so true. Funny, but also sad, in same time.
IzbrišiThe rise and mass engagement of social media picked up around 2005/2006, two years after Facebook was created. It laid the building stone for other platforms such as Instagram, Linkedin, Snapchat and so forth. Initially, they have been mainly utilized on laptops but once smart phones became more common the social media tailored to the small screen. Generation Y and Z were the first to engage and create accounts. As the popularity rose, older generations joined the social media party. Today, life before social media is almost forgotten and the importance of social media has never been greater especially during COVID19 since face-to-face interaction has been limited. Certainly, life without social media is unimaginable. It penetrated many industries in both, positive and negative, ways. From Linkedin that is focused on professional growth and career to Instagram who is being used for photo sharing of various content, the variety is great. Social media has even tried to be used to rig the US elections by creating ads to shape people’s opinion. Since globalization was evolving and people were migrating across the globe, social media offered the public to stay in touch with people close to you nevertheless of the their location. It enabled you be communicate with family members which lived on other continents, reach out to long lost friends and also text complete strangers. The means of communication have also shifted. While previously you could express yourself through SMS or a phone call, now its possible to do so through video call, pictures, memes, voice notes text messages which are not charged and others. Never in human history has an individual been able to reach this many people, information flow has never been this fluid. Every person and information seem to be a few clicks away. As mentioned, the first and initially most popular platform was Facebook. However, the popularity of it decreased since more targeted social medias came out, specifically Instagram (which is also owned by Facebook Group) and Linkedin which is used by professionals and is mainly based on carrer, work and business. The one I use the most is Instagram as I love to share photos and events that occur in my life such as travels, parties, gatherings and so on. As it found its way in most into most industries, Social media also penetrated education. It can be utilized as a great tool to share information especially since it is convenient. As students spend a lot of time on social media, they will accept and receive the information through a medium that are familiar with. It is important for teachers to start using social media as a way of teaching and passing on information. Students can engage in online courses, communicate with teachers, use interactive material , learn through videos , improve research skills and others. Besides the good points, Social media can also be a distraction in the classroom as students are bombarded with non-educational material and messages. There are also cases of cyberbullying which are not too rare. The more time we spend communicating on social media the more we limit face to face interaction which still should remain the dominant way of communication. As the content can vary , it is also important to plan and filter what you will be shown not to end up wasting your time or even receive harmful information.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSelma Hodo
Hello everyone!
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial networks quietly affect the life of modern society, and we do not notice how we slowly become addicted. It is hard to know sometimes how our life has changed until we stop for a moment and look at how different it is from ten or even five years ago. In recent years social media, likely more than anything else, has significantly impacted most of our daily lives. I think that social media changed our society a lot, mostly in a negative way. In my opinion, society before all of those social media was a lot better because we communicated differently, I think that most of us can agree with that. There is just something special in life before and now where everything goes faster and is a lot more stressful, the difference cannot be explained you need to feel it and I truly do. I know, it is what it is, the world must go on with the technology, it makes life easier for all of us. There are plenty of other social media platforms that we use nowadays, the most common ones are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and many others but in my opinion, those are the most used ones. Those social media platforms are in charge of making any kind of communication between people a lot faster and easier, most of the time those platforms are our main entertainment. The use of social media in education provides students with the ability to get more useful information, to connect with learning groups and other educational systems that make education convenient. Sharing information and knowledge on social media is a lot easier and practical, communication between us students is indescribably different than it was before. In my opinion, there are more pros than cons when we talk about using social media in education. We can use it as an educational tool, increase student collaboration, encourage student partnership, preparing students for the future as well as homework help. There are many cons too, it can be an interruption which means it can often distract students from the study, cyberbullying shouldn't be neglected because social media can be a serious weapon of malevolent behavior, posting unsuitable content on social media or lack of head-on communication because students are missing valuable lessons in real-life skills.
My advice is at least when you are with your friends and family, don't look at your phone. Those moments will be in the past and one day you will be sorry for not using that time right.
Stay happy and healthy :)

I think the real value of social media is that you can stay in touch from moment to moment with the people who really matter to you. Social media have changed our personal space, altering the way we interact with our loved ones, our friends, our partners. The Internet has clearly impacted all levels of education by providing unbounded possibilities for learning. I believe the future of education is a networked future. I am not a huge fan of social media myself, partly because I prefer to live life in the real world, and partly because am naturally a private individual.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSuada Stanić (V) PO4
Social media have changed our lives in many ways. We don’t communicate with each other face-to-face anymore or we do it less then we used to do it before. However, on the other side, today we have chance to communicate with people we would not be able to, if there is no social media.
OdgovoriIzbrišiNowadays, the most popular social media platforms are Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Viber, and recently one of the most popular - TikTok. Those platforms are mainly intended for entertainment and free time but it can be very useful for an education as well. We are all witnesses that in this time of crisis (like the one with Covid-19) social media platforms can have a great usage. Currently, one of the most popular platforms of online teaching and learning, ether in our country as it in the world, are Zoom, Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams. Personally, I use all of those online learning platforms for faculty obligations. In free time, I like to take a break, relax and entertain myself with some cool and educational videos on YouTube and occasionally Instagram. Viber is also one of my favorite social media platforms and it is great way of free and unlimited communication. We can use social media as a great platform for online education in specific periods, like this one with a Covid-19, but it also could be used in regular classes. Unfortunately, it is least used for these purposes although it has much potential to be a great way of getting knowledge.

Social media change our lifes in a lot of ways. First we communicate with our
OdgovoriIzbrišifriends, communicate with other people and discusste about a lot of topics.
On social media we promote all various type of products and all kind of shops.
Social media made our communication much easier then it has been in 19th and
20th century. Social media change our society and communication in good ways,
also sometimes in bad ways. Because of esier communication and expression
our thoughts with nickname, other people does not know how we are, so we do not
need to be scared if we hurt them. When we express our thoughts on some social
media we do not think about other people's feelings and give ourselves the
right to comment on everything even if we are not familiar with the
whole situation and do not know the background of a story.
Platform I use the most is Instagram, because I enjoy in beautiful pictures
from other people’s travels and in beautiful pictures of natura all around
the world. also on Instagram I can find a lot of education stuff for my
future job. social medila can be used in educations with esier way to start
communication with our profesors, but also with education people all around
the world, so we can learn a lot of during video conversation etc.
There a lot of good and bad things about using social media it deppents of us
if we are going to use in good things or in a bad things.
The basis of social media is social media, which includes Web-based and mobile technologies that are used to turn communication into interactive dialogue. Almost nobody today is immune to social media. And even people who do not use them and avoid them, are often unknowingly under their influence. Social media is an integral part of modern society, and social networking sites are a big industry. The use of social networks has changed - not only the way of spending free time, the way we communicate and do business, but also the ways of learning and organizing the teaching procces. The tendency of people to use the opportunities provided by social networks is increasing in education, in order to adapt the learning process to the needs of students and make it as interesting and attractive as possible for them. It was noticed that the students themselves started with the establishment of groups on social networks, in order to connect and exchange information about the contents and obligations. This has also led teachers to start using social networks to make learning content more accessible to students, to stimulate discussions among students and to give them access to a variety of useful examples and videos, which help them see the material in a new way.
OdgovoriIzbrišiSocial networks tools afford students and instituions with multiple opportunities to improve learning methods. Trough these networks, you can incorporate social media plugins that enable sharing and interaction. Students can benefit from online tutorials and resources that are shared trough social networks.
OdgovoriIzbrišiThe great things about using social media is that you soon learn who the experts are in particular fields and subjects. When you start fallowing these experts you learn more useful content from them, this empowers you to produce great results. Social media has the ability to broaden you perspective on various shbjects and gives illuminating, instant content that is new. You have the opportunity of engaging experts to get answers on topic that you may need help in.
Social media is all around us.
