    "The side od the road" - I see a family that went on a road trip, a vacation and their car broke down. They are trying to figure out what to do - we can see that by their expressions. We can assume that they have been stranded on the side of the road for quite some time by the fact that they look really tired and the little girl is drinking water.

The 21st Century Learners

Dear students, now that we have already discussed the teaching profession and education in the 21st century in general, it is inevitable that we also discuss those who are in the focus of these processes, i.e. the 21st century learners, taking into account the skills, knowledge and understanding they require and that are completely different from what learners should have had in the past. Nowadays, we can say that we have a new breed of learners who are usually referred to as 'Net Generation' (some other terms are also in use, e.g. 'Digital Natives', 'Millenials', Generation Z', 'Generation Alpha', etc.) that differs from previous generations of learners in specific characteristics, i.e. they prefer receiving and processing information quickly, their learning styles lean toward teamwork, experiential activities, multitasking and active learning with the abundant use of modern technology. Teaching Profession in the 21st century

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all safe and sound at your homes, together with your families, and that you fully and unexceptionally respect all of the (self-) isolation and prevention measures required by the competent authorities in order to prevent the spread of covid-19 infection.  As lessons are being taught online these days, we will try to make the content of the ESP (English for Specific Purposes) course available through this blog, and thus somehow combine the enjoyable with the useful, as we will also have the opportunity to relate to each other and exchange our views and ideas on various topics. Thus, we could make at least a virtual social contact when we can no longer have the kind of live social interaction we've been used to so far.
